Get Alexa’s red carpet look for less! POSTED BY LTS Elizabeth 06.15.12
Tall girl Alexa Chung wowed the crowds at the Scottish Fashion Awards this week. The awards celebrate the brightest and best designers in Scottish fashion, recognising those who have made a significant contribution to the industry.
Alexa kept it ultra-stylish and on-trend with a pretty Christopher Kane floral print dress that had something of the 1950s about it. She updated the look with her usual flair, wearing the dress over a white shirt. To complete the outfit, she added some comfy-looking heeled loafers, which complemented the tones of the floral print.
To get Alexa’s fab look for less, check out our beautiful Stencil Flower Print Dress (£70). The monochromatic floral print is fresh and feminine, just like Alexa’s 50s-inspired look. With the added bow detail and pleated neckline, this dress will make you look and feel like an English rose!
This dress also comes with an adjustable belt, ensuring a comfy fit for tall women with all different body shapes and giving you that classically elegant cinched-in waistline.
We suggest styling this dress with black heels or flats, and a cardigan for cooler summer evenings. You could even take a little inspiration from Alexa and add a crisp white shirt into the mix.
We love Alexa’s heeled loafers in this outfit – they make a nice change from the painful-looking skyscraper heels we’re used to seeing on the red carpet. If you’d like something similar, check out our Patent Court Shoes (£55). Made from soft suede, they’re currently available in a rich chocolate brown shade that’s versatile and chic.
We understand that, if you’re a tall girl, you may not necessarily want to add extra inches to your height with super-high heels – that’s why our tall clothing collection includes a variety of fabulous mid-heels and flats for all occasions, whether you’re looking for something conservative for the office or some real statement shoes for a night out on the tiles!
