Quality of clothes(4 posts)
I am from Quebec, Canada and yesterday I went on the Ontario store situated on Queen street in Ottawa. I purchased for $700.00. I have been a client of Tall Girl for over 32 years. For all this time, I always appreciated the great quality of the clothes. Just by touching, feeling the material, looking at the hems and the finishing touches, I have to say that I was always impressed of the quality. I still have clothes that I've purchased many years ago that still are in very good shape after many washs. Yesterday, I was very disappointed to see the lesser quality of material that you are now using and the price is not cheaper. For example, I purchased a pyjama at $75.00 and I had not look at the price thinking that it would be less than $45.oo but to my surprise when I arrived home I saw that the price was $75.00 and all that for a very flimsy material. I will be bringing it back for sure. I looked at the coats, they look pitiful. I could not find many name brands as before. I bought a pair of Louben pants (not sure of the proper spelling) for $175.00. Would I pay that price if I was a regular size, never! Also, the clothes are not fitting me the same. I usually wear size 8 or small and I cannot say that I am 100% comfortable. I am very happy that we have a store where we can buy clothes . I was talking to one coworker who also go to the store and she noticed the same things. I hope that in the future the quality will improve. Thank you!
Hi, Thank you for your feedback. I've forwarded your comments to our fitting and buying departments LTS
While I am happy to have a tall women's store to shop (I am 6'2) the quality is terribly disappointing for the high price. I cannot seem to understand this because there are many stores that cater to taller women these days. I shop at LTS at the Mall of America and countless times have left the store to purchase much higher quality pieces at Nordstrom, Macy's etc, at the same price point that LTS sells their lesser quality items. When I do decide to purchase at LTS, I am left with a terrible feeling in my stomach knowing I overpaid for the quality, and that the item will not likely last more than 1 season, at best. I really hope LTS realizes that just because there are women that are tall, doesn't mean we are desperate and will blindly spend too much money just because it's marketed for tall women. There needs to be quality behind the name! My biggest frustration are with the sweaters. They all shed on my pants & shirts that I wear with them. It creates a mess, and I have been forced to stop wearing them for work because I look like a mess when I step into a meeting. Very unprofessional and very unsophisticated. I also notice the sweaters pill (especially the wool ones) after just 1 use! Very low quality. I hope LTS takes these issues seriously, because I really want to support a company that caters to a niche group of women. All my best.
